Oil change in South Winnipeg

Questions people ask
How often does the oil need changing?
It depends on the engine, the oil and how the car is driven. The schedule in your owner’s manual is the one to follow, and many cars also show a reminder on the dash.
Does winter driving change anything?
Short trips in cold weather are harder on oil, because the engine spends less time at full working temperature. Many manufacturers list a shorter “severe service” interval for that kind of driving.
Synthetic or conventional?
Use what the manufacturer specifies for your engine. The owner’s manual gives the grade and the specification.
The level is low between changes. Is that a problem?
Some engines use a little oil in normal running. A level that drops quickly, or oil spots under the car, are reasons to have it checked.
